GED Testing

GED Testing is conducted 4 times a year at The Union County Adult School.  The testing schedule is located on the Calendar page.  It costs $70.00 to take the full test.  Individual tests cost $14.00 each except for the Writing test which costs $16.00.  You must pre-register for the test.  GED testing requirements are listed below.

GED Testing Requirements - Age 18 or Older:

¨ You must present residency documentation to prove that you have  been a Florida resident for the last 12 months.

¨ You must pre-register for the test and pay fees prior to testing.

¨ You must present a valid Florida picture identification at the time of registration and testing.

GED Testing Requirements - Age 16 or 17:

¨ You must present residency documentation to prove that you have been a Florida resident for the last 12 months.

¨ Your parent or guardian must give their permission for you to enroll in classes and take the GED test.  Your parent or guardian must sign your enrollment form and your test registration.

¨ You must present a withdrawal form from the last school you attended.

¨ You must obtain an age waiver from the Union County superintendent of schools.  Please   contact Eugene Dukes about obtaining this waiver.

¨ You must attend classes for at least one month prior to taking the GED Test.

¨ You must score at least 2250 on the GED Predictive Test before you will be allowed to take the GED test.

¨ You must pre-register for the test and pay fees prior to testing.

¨ You must present a valid Florida picture identification at the time of registration and testing.

TABE Testing

The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is administered free of charge to all students that enroll for classes.  If you need to take the TABE test for entry into a program or job, we will administer it for a $20.00 fee.  We conduct TABE testing sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings at The Union County Adult School beginning at 6:00 PM.  Please call for an appointment.
